The challenge
During an organisation-wide move from the ELK stack to Dynatrace, teams needed a consistent and repeatable way to manage observability configuration.
My contribution
- Developed Terraform automation and reusable templates used by multiple engineering teams during the observability migration.
- Established configuration patterns to help standardise infrastructure-led Dynatrace rollout and operations.
- Worked across the migration effort to make configurations repeatable and easier for teams to adopt.
Engineering approach
01Represent observability resources and settings as code.
02Provide reusable Terraform templates for common integration and configuration patterns.
03Support multiple team use cases while keeping configurations consistent.
Outcome & impact
The work supported cross-team adoption and reduced dependence on one-off manual observability configurations. Specific time savings were not quantified.
